We’re proud to announce the publication of MEDI-THEFT report “The theft of medicines in the EU” by UCSC-Transcrime researchers Marco Dugato and Cosimo Sidoti in collaboration with AIFA and the other MEDI-THEFT partners.
The paper focuses on the theft of medicines and medical devices, a widely spread issue throughout the EU and beyond.
The research conducted by Transcrime aims at increasing awareness about this pharmaceutical crime, by categorizing and analysing its main characteristics and criminals’ modi operandi.
In this report you will find relevant, useful information on the definition of theft of medicine and on the most common criminal schemes. The study also includes an assessment of the regulatory framework of the pharmaceutical market in the EU.
