MEDI-THEFT is excited to announce the successful completion of the project’s two promotional events featuring a platform training session. The two events, both held at AIFA headquarters in Rome, were focused on presenting and promoting the MEDI-THEFT project and to provide participants with the key information to utilize the MEDI-THEFT intelligence-based platform.
The first session on the 6th June 2023 was aimed at representatives of Law Enforcement Agencies, particularly the Italian Carabinieri, and saw the participation of 23 professionals.
The event included an outline on the theft of medicines in the EU and the best practices to manage cases of medicine theft. It also included a practical exercise featuring an interactive case, with the aim to fully engage the participants with a real-case scenario.
The second session on the 13th June 2023 was aimed at private stakeholders, such as pharmaceutical companies and their associations. 28 representatives participated to this event, sparking synergies and fruitful discussions on the topic of medicine theft.
The session also highlighted the importance of cross-country cooperation and how the involvement of private stakeholders can enhance the fight against medicine trafficking.
Both sessions were led by AIFA and with the valuable contribution of project Partners such as SAFE, Transcrime, Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, Affordable Medicine Europe, ALIMS and Carabinieri.
We are proud of the results achieved so far and are looking forward to implementing the next training sessions.
Stay tuned!
