Another excellent opportunity to present the project to a relevant audience of stakeholders: MEDI-THEFT was featured during the Permanent Forum On International Pharmaceutical Crime (PFIPC) in Rome, Italy.
This year’s edition was sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Health, the Carabinieri Health Protection Command and AIFA, which is MEDI-THEFT’s Coordinator. The event was participated by more than 30 representatives coming from 13 different countries.
The Forum main objective is to protect public health through the exchange of information and ideas to foster mutual cooperation.
This event represents an important moment of exchange among sector-specific experts. Therefore, it was a chance to discuss the phenomena related to pharmaceutical crimes.
The project was presented to the audience, from its roots to the ongoing developments. Specific focus was dedicated to risk indicators, criminals’ schemes, and best practices.
As a positive result of this presentation, AIFA was admitted to this enforcement group in light of the agency’s achievements and plans in the field.
Promotion of further cooperation and dissemination of the tools and reports produced by MEDI-THEFT will help the fight of medicine trafficking.
