On the 27th of September MEDI-THEFT was presented at the Joint Union Actions Event for DG HOME Projects awarded in 2019 and 2020.
During the Sustainability workshop, AIFA representative and Proect Coordinator Domenico Di Giorgio presented MEDI-THEFT project, illustrating how the MEDI-THEFT approach towards data sharing can help investigations in the context of medicine theft and organised crime.
More specifically, MEDI-THEFT is building on previously designed data platforms (such as FAKESHARE) to create a sustainable platform, which will boost cooperation between LEAs, NCAs and other public and private stakeholders.
The development of the MEDI-THEFT platform and its related procedures and trainings is a concrete step towards preventing medicine theft, reselling, and laundering.
