In the context of supporting the effort of disseminating MEDI-THEFT’s activities and results, AIFA has recently presented the project at two different events. Dr. Domenico Di Giorgio, AIFA Head of Inspection & Certification Department and project Coordinator, presented project MEDI-THEFT inception, objectives, and latest results. More specifically, risk assessment indicators and best practices were discussed.
The first event, the European Medicines Agency’s Inspectors Working Group, focused on guidance, agreements and legislation impacting inspection activities. It is a chance for the Inspectors to meet with interested parties, representatives of European industry associations and relevant professional associations.
The second event was the Italian Ministry of Health’s training for the Carabinieri Anti-Sophistication and Health Care Units (NAS) Commanders, an Armed Force unit that deals with the task of watching over public health through the supervision of the genuineness of food substances.
