MEDI-THEFT – Data sharing and Investigative Platform against Organised Thefts of Medicines<\/em>“<\/strong>.<\/p>\nThe Project, financed by the Internal Security Fund Programme and started in November 2021, involves, in addition to AIFA – in the role of coordinator – the SAFE Foundation, the Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore – Transcrime, the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato (IPZS), Affordable Medicines Europe (AME), the regulatory agencies of Serbia – ALIMS – and Montenegro – CInMED and the Carabinieri Corps.<\/p>\n
The Conference will be an opportunity to share updates on a specific type of pharmaceutical crime<\/strong>, that of drug theft and laundering<\/strong>, and to present the results achieved and the tools implemented as part of the project<\/strong>, which will end on 31 October.<\/p>\nThe first part of the event, which will be opened by institutional greetings, will be dedicated to the presentation of the project, by AIFA and the partners of the MEDI-THEFT Consortium, i.e. the SAFE Foundation, Transcrime (the Inter-University Centre for Research on Transnational Crime of the Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan), the regulatory agencies of Serbia and Montenegro, the Carabinieri Corps, and the Italian Mint and State Printing Institute.<\/p>\n
A second session will be devoted to the analysis and in-depth analysis of the phenomenon of medicine thefts<\/strong>, both from a global and a national perspective, through the reports by representatives of some European countries who will illustrate their experience in monitoring and law enforcement activities.<\/p>\nTranscrime will present the results of the research and studies carried out during the project<\/strong> while the Poligrafico will take care of the presentation and demo of the MEDI-THEFT platform<\/strong>. \nThe event will be attended by representatives of the European regulatory agencies and other authorities involved, representatives of the private sector and industry associations.<\/p>\nThe event will close with a discussion panel dedicated to an operational and strategic discussion on the possible and future uses of the MEDI-THEFT platform and the data made available through it.<\/p>\n
