{"id":9458,"date":"2022-10-01T16:04:15","date_gmt":"2022-10-01T14:04:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/medi-theft.eu\/?p=9458"},"modified":"2022-10-05T16:05:26","modified_gmt":"2022-10-05T14:05:26","slug":"medi-theft-concluded-its-first-online-validation-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medi-theft.eu\/medi-theft-concluded-its-first-online-validation-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"MEDI-THEFT concluded its first Online Validation Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the 27<sup>th<\/sup> of September MEDI-THEFT organised <strong>its first Online Validation Workshop<\/strong>, which saw the participation of more than 30 professionals, coming from both the public and private sector.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop was opened by Kasper Ernest (Affordable Medicines Europe) and followed by several sessions on the state of the project, its objectives and its foreseeable outcomes.<br \/>\nA brief introduction was followed by a session on <strong>the current status of the theft of medicines\u2019 phenomena<\/strong>, led by Transcrime, integrated by an intervention on best practices, led by AIFA.<\/p>\n<p>A session was also dedicated to the <strong>MEDI-THEFT platform<\/strong> (led by Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato), outlining its objectives, structure, functionalities and how the current data gathering and analysis will help shape the platform and all the tools it will offer.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, a session on <strong>integration of data with the DATACROS module and risk assessment<\/strong> was presented by Transcrime.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop was a significant event, which gave the Consortium the chance to <strong>involve a wider network of relevant stakeholders<\/strong>. Moreover, it was a chance to highlight how medicine-related crimes negatively affects public health and the economy, and <strong>how MEDI-THEFT can help prevent medicine theft and protect the health of citizens in Europe and beyond.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the 27th of September MEDI-THEFT organised its first Online Validation Workshop, which saw the participation of more than 30 professionals, coming from both the public and private sector.
