    Real-time Monitoring and Sampling of CB menaces for improved dynamic mapping of threats, vulnerabilities and response capacities

    The MoSaiC project will provide new detection capabilities. The goal is to strengthen CBRN DIM platforms to include low-cost chemical and biological monitoring technologies using unmanned systems for chemical and biological monitoring and sampling missions.

  • VERTIgO

    Virtual Enhanced Reality for inTeroperable traIning of CBRN military and civilian Operators

    The VERTIgO project promotes an integrated approach in the field of relief during conflict or disaster by creating a new harmonized tool that supports the virtualization and simulation of CBRN defense training. The overall goal of the project is to study, create and validate a platform called EESP for the Virtual Reality application of training activities in response to CBRN events.

    Study, Design, Building and Deployment of a CBRN XR Training Platform

    HFM-NMSG-354 was promoted by NATO with the main objective of developing augmented reality software and hardware for conducting training/training activities for operators in CBRN operations through simulation of multiple practical scenarios.

    CBRN Protection of Critical infrastructures in Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon

    Project P73 strives to exchange best practices in CBRN disaster prevention, preparedness, and response. The overall objective of the Lebanese component, of which SAFE is the coordinator, is to ensure the protection and operation of the chain of command in the event of CBRN events, particularly of the Prime Minister and the Grand Sérail, home of the Prime Minister’s office.

    P73 provides equipment for detection, protection, and decontamination from CBR agents and training on CBRN hazards and warning and detection systems for Grand Sérail personnel.

  • ARZ-CBRN 2023

    In the context of the EU CBRN Centers of Excellence (EU CBRN CoE) initiative, under the Patronage of the Prime Minister of Lebanon, ARZ 2023 was developed: a 4-day inter-agency CBRN field exercise that focused on key aspects of detection and first response against CBRN security threats. The main objective of ARZ 2023 is to test the capacities to counter CBRN risks, test emergency response procedures, and identify best practices.

    Fighting crime related to the illegal supply chain of counterfeit and substandard food products

    Protecting consumers’ right to health is a fundamental right principle and therefore crucial attention should be devoted to the fight against the criminal phenomena
    of counterfeiting and sophistication of food especially along illicit trafficking routes in EaP (Eastern Partnership) countries.
    The Operational Action, funded by EUROPOL’s Low-Value Grant, led by the Italian Carabinieri for Healthcare (N.A.S.), and executed within EUROPOL’s OPSON operation, aims to dismantle organised criminal groups engaged in food trafficking at an international level.
    The operational action aims at fostering collaboration between EU and EaP countries in the fight against food-related crimes.
