Associazione SAFE, in its mission of promoting social responsibility, has been given access to phase II of the call for proposal “For Children – One step ahead” aimed at promoting social innovation projects to fight educational poverty of children aged 14-17.

Associazione SAFE in this context is collaborating with two social enterprises active in Molise region (Associazione ilTriangolo and Cooperativa Mosaico) proposing the establishment of the first FabLab of the Molise Region.

The project intends to fight school drop-outs and alleviate the occurrence of educational inadequacy in the rural areas of Molise through introduction of innovative educational tools aimed at facilitating the acquisition by students of technical and cognitive skills that can easily be spent in modern jobs and the business world.

The experimental project plans to establish a technological laboratory, equipped with versatile and multi-functional tools of high technological level to support on-the-job training of students by local artisans, in view of re-discovering traditional art crafts combined with modern technologies.

The project is financed by Associazione “Con I Bambini”, a subsidiary company of “Con il Sud” Foundation, a no profit organisation promoting the development of Southern Italy through social cohesion actions. Fondazione “Con il Sud” supports exemplary actions aimed at educating young people to legality, fighting school dropouts, enhancing young talents and ‘attracting brains’ in Southern Italy to involve them in the protection and development of public assets, improving the welfare services and integrating immigrants to promote a ‘community welfare’.
