On the 27th of January 2020, SAFE representative, Mr Benolli, participated at the 1st Workshop on the Radiological and Nuclear Training Framework organised by the H2020 INCLUDING project at ENEA’s Frascati Research Center (Rome).

Aim of the one-day workshop was to deliver an overview of the current status of the standardization of RN training at EU level; clarify the role of innovative methodologies and technologies in RN training; assess the relevance of unconventional scenarios in RN training and collect recommendations, suggestions and lessons learnt from participants.

The program was articulated around six main sessions, one of which on European security standardization in the CBRNe sector followed by a closing round table on “How to best harmonize RN training in the EU” – both aspect of particular interest for RESIST project, which aims at creating a standard and harmonized CBRN training for European Critical Infrastructures’ operators.

Furthermore, under Session III “Innovative Technologies”, the workshop tackled the issue of Virtual Reality for Training and Certification, a topic of great interest for SAFE which is currently developing cooperation with public bodies around Europe to integrate new technologies in law enforcement agency’s daily work and trainings.

At the conference participated speakers from over 8 Countries, and saw the attendance of more than 50 professionals.
