On February 1, 2021 the OPFA WASTE Project will launch the Operational Facility funding scheme to support ongoing transnational investigations in the field of illicit waste trafficking!
Starting from this date (1/02) and for a limited period of time, eligible Law Enforcement Agencies operating in the context of environmental crimes and illicit waste trafficking in particular, will be encouraged to apply for funding as an opportunity to improve networking among police officers, enhance the exchange of sensitive information, increase technical skills or lease specialized equipment.
The Operational Facility will be activated thanks to the direct support of SAFE (Security and Freedom for Europe) and the specialized support of Europol to environmental crime investigations.
