SAFE has completed in the last weeks the submission of two project proposals, as part of the Instrument for Internal Security (Police) call PROTECT.
The first project is named RESIST – REsilience Support to critical Infrastructures operators through Standardized Training on CBRN. Coordinated by SAFE, it has been submitted jointly with the Italian CBRN Cluster P3 (in particular its members IAI, Ministry of Interior – firefighters, Ministry of Defence, University of Tor Vergata, ENEA, Spallanzani Hospital, Department of Civil Protection) and the Romanian CBRN Cluster PROECO. The project aims at the development of tailored technical competences within operators of Critical Infrastructures and public spaces. With a total budget of approximately 950.000€, the project will be evaluated during the summer of 2019 and, in case of success of the initiative, will kick-off its activities in fall 2019.
The second project, also in this case coordinated by SAFE, include as partners Ouvry (France), Novadays (Spain), B&S (Belgium), Lyon Hospital (France, University of Tor Vergata (Italy) and several end-users from the above mentioned countries as associate partners. The objective of the project, named TRANSTUN ( TRANSnational TUNnels operational CBRN risk mitigation) is to increase the coordinated response capacities for CBRNe events affecting a trans-border tunnel. The project budget is approximately 900.000€ and the completion of its evaluation is expected after the summer.
We take this opportunity to thank all partners for the excellent joint work and we hope well be able to start soon the joint implementation of these important projects!
